The Winter Empire Strikes Back

We are drowning with snow! The past week it has snowed nonstop. Cannot report back of any spring signs.

Here you can see Arctic Dad shuffling for his life. His body will probably go into shock when he finds himself in Austin, Texas in two days time. But hey, it's not like we're feeling sorry for the man. One week without three feverish kids and a slightly weather sick partner? Only listening to music every night, drinking Budweiser (is that what one drinks in Texas, do I have any readers there?) and wearing t-shirt outdoors.

But we want presents from America. Bubblegum and Converse. Update: According to Jane, also twizzlers red strawberry licorice, other suggestions?.

In between I took a small trip to the flea market. Gorgeous enamel tea kettle, folksy leather bag, Swedish ceramic wall platte and fun Scandi fabric coasters. All headed for my Etsy shop.

Linking up to A Living Space this week:)

Have a good week, friends!

We had snow here today too most of the day = but it was quite wet in the city centre so didn't last all day.

I hope that the Converse arrive back safely from the US. And that perhaps some warmth comes with it!

Yes, spring has arrived in the south. 66 degrees today. Going for a walk in the forest. Can't wait!

DO NOT feel sorry for him! He will be basking in the sun and his only worry will be which great show to go to and what kind of beer to drink next! Next year will be your turn. ;-)

Your husband is going off to Texas without you?!?! He will be eating BBQ & chili I guess. Hope he brings you back some American treats!

Texas has wonderful spring weather now. Tho some thunderstorms the last day or so. Austin will get him some mouth watering BBQ and delicious Mexican food--don't drink so can't help you there. He must bring back some delicious chewy pecan pralines from Lammes, there in Austin. Should have no trouble finding them--just ask. My son graduated from University of Texas there. I love your blog because it is so different from Texas!

Well I can empathize with you...Lots of snow here last week. My husband is in Brazil this week and we're here with the snow. We use to live in TX, Shiner Bock is the beer of choice there...and if he has a chance for a bit of a mini roadtrip Salt Lick BBQ between Austin/San Antonio is legendary.

Yes, I like how that girl climbs the tree!
Pretty orange kettle. Good luck with your shop.
And last but not least: Get well soon.
Love from Switzerland, where we are expecting snow tomorrow after a few days of warm spring weather...

I was seriously feeling sorry for myself with our local predictionof 1-2 inches of snow this week until I saw your photos. Hoping that spring arrives sooner rather than later for you. Take care!
