My cold and clear winter

I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise, I live in the Arctic for crying out laud: But it's terribly cold now.

Everyone is talking about it this winter and the unusual cold. Minus 18 this morning. No wonder these boats stay ashore.

But the light and the sun is beautiful and the sky is blue all day long. What more can you ask for?

A giveaway is very soon coming to a blog near you (this one).

What's the winter like where you are?

I just can't imagine living anywhere that cold, but I'm sure you hear that quite a bit. It seems like the cold goes hand-in-hand with blue skies, which is one of the only ways to bear it, I suppose!

I live in the desert of AZ in the US. So my winter is alittle warmer than I like the highs are in the
60's. I like the cold and could so live in the artic I know I'm weird. Hope you have a great day and stay warm.

It's been a long winter here too! We had cold cold day (ok cold for us -2 or so) and blue blue skies for 4 days over the weekend but today it returned to sleet and snow and rain and grey and cold!! Roll on spring!

Funny thing is that we have had one of the 'hottest' summers on record...whilst you freeze we swelter. Crazy world.

I live in Western Australia and our winters are pretty mild compared to alot of peoples, actually pretty similar to the comment by Holly Days Closet.

here, south of france, not far from montpellier, it was a cold winter too. we had some snow (it didn't stay, of course), we had several days with morning at -4, it's unusual.
but now, for quite one week, spring is testing if it can come: we have +20 (celsius!), blue sky (it's usual, i love it!), birds and flowers beginning to grow.
i like to read the comments on this post, your blog is really a crossing point for people around the planet!
i've got a friend in brazil, she said it was very warm (37) by her.
have a very nice (and sunny) day.

Hi there,
the winter here in Finland is probably as cold as yours, but we here in southern part have more light during midwinter - thank God! Check out my blog for some frozen sceneries in my blog. This year we have exceptionally lot of snow here and temperature has been below zero (centigrade) for over 5 weeks in a row: -25 at our place has been the lowest so far.

thank you for your message.

The sky must be one of my favorite things about crisp, cold winter days. But that is VERY cold! We have cold, but below zero happens only a couple of weeks a year. I prefer the extreme cold to the extreme hot, I think. I hope you have a great weekend!

The sun is coming back here in Wisconsin (though it was never really gone) and we are slowly crawling towards spring. I feel bad saying it's 35 (fahrenheit) but it's still only 5 at night.

We have had what seems like a long winter with a lot of snow (and it's probably not over by any means) but today was 39 degrees F and sunny so we were finally able to get the rest of our Christmas lights down!
