A winterly 60s giveaway book

A day off was spent downtown. It was too freezing to bring out the camera to be honest, but here's a few shots from the small city center of mine. And here's from last year.

A major online bookstore sent me two examples of "Portobello Road - photographed in the 60s." Maybe as a consolation prize for ordering and living so far north? So I thought I'd give one to you instead!

Leave a comment to enter to win before Saturday the 26th of February. My last giveaways ended up in the US and Australia.

I wonder where I can pin the globus this time?

I love picture books from all different eras. It might not all be personally nostalgic, but it makes me dream of different places and times. Anyway, I knew I had been reading your blog a long time when I remembered the last time you were waiting for the sun to come up and showed blue days pictures. I am so intrigued with your area of the world. When you post pics I make my husband come and look. That picture of the movie being shown outside was so cool. Have a good weekend.

Hopefully in the US again! It looks like a very fun book. I'm sorry it's so cold there. We had a foot of snow in two hours yesterday in our driveway. I was just during the time I had to drive Eddie to school. The worst drive yet this year. I do love the winter, but soon enough spring will be here!

Why not in south of France?..:o) Even when I see all this snow in your pictures, I can't believe it.I'm writing this with my window opened, and the sun shining in..In May, I'll fly to Island because I'm longing for a little of "real" winter! :o)

Maybe the book might wing its way down here to the UK :-) I have mooched along the Portobello many times since the seventies so I have seen it change quite a bit for real! Warm wishes from Lizzie

I'd love to see this book - in the 60s I was in the US - Florida & Massachusetts. Should be interesting. Thanks for posting this giveaway.

I love your blog ... it makes Boston seem down right warm in comparison! Sounds like a fun give-away.... maybe it will make it's way to Boston.

i love portobello road! i was there twice, once in the 80s, hitchhiking and going as a stowaway on the ferry, later when visiting a sick friend.
