Home Exchange for the Summer

We're (read: me) planning next summer's holiday, and hopefully a dream will come true: Home Exchange. I've wanted to do it for years, and finally we have the space.

The idea is appealing: You arrive to a house with toys (yay!), bicycles, bunkbed and perhaps a highchair. You get to explore an area outside the tourist tracks.

Everything based on trust. Isn't that wonderful?

I hope a family wants to come to the Arctic and our home. We have spectacular nature, 24/7 daylight, great for kids and a vibrant city. I guess I have to enlighten the fact that 3 degrees celsius in July does happen...but not often!

We hope to end up in the southwest of France, an area I know from pre-family times. But maybe we'll be surprised and go somewhere else. What do you reckon, will we make it?

Så fantastisk! Har litt lyst til det samme. En gang. Hvordan fikser du det, sånn rent praktisk? Nettside du legger ut boligen på? Hører gjerne mer om dette spennende prosjektet. :-)

I sure hope so! Sounds like so much fun. Too bad hou don't live in Sicily because we need a place to stay there for a week next summer.

Oh yes, you will make it! Who would not want to come and stay in your house. Just make sure you provide blackout blinds, as we must for any summer visitors from further South than Aberdeen.

Hei! Takk for kommentaren din i boligbyttebloggen min! Fin blogg du har, den skal jeg følge med på.

Lykke til med forberedelsene til deres første boligbytteferie! Vi har gjort dette 11 ganger nå, så for oss er det nærmest en livsstil.

I'd recommend home exchanging. We've done it several times, including Los Angeles and the Canadian Rockies. Great experiences! Email me if you want to know more.
