My Sister The Jewellery Maker

My sister Elisabeth has jumped into the unknown and sets out to be a full time jewellery maker in Denmark where she lives.

She uses old norwegian techniques, like sami braiding. I don't know anyone else who braids in silver. Do you? She knits and crochets in silver and gold too, using pearls and stones as well. It's not just design: Every single piece is unique and handmade with love.

To celebrate her dream come true, the Arctic sisters cooperate on a giveaway until the 15th of January: One random of you can win a piece, by leaving a comment telling me which collection you like the best from her website: Nina, Alise, Lilli or Susanne.

I know you appreciate good crafts! (PS: if you're in Copenhagen, visit store Unika and you may find her there, she looks like me). She's also on
Facebook

Good luck!

Good luck to your sister always exciting to start a new venture.
For me my favourites are the silver Nina collection, they look like a giant puzzle that needs to be untangled. Never seen something like the before. Tx

Good luck to her, how exciting to venture out with her own designs... they are all beautiful and unique. Have not seen anything like this before. My favorite is the Lilli, I think because it looks crocheted.

This is my first comment here, but I have been reading awhile and wanted to say, yours is one of my favorite blogs.

Your sister is very talented, and it is difficult to select a favorite. Nina reminds me of my favorite hobby: knitting.

Oh dear, they are all just marvellous. But Lilli is my favourite one, they look like snowflakes or cobweb. Absolutely divine.

All of the collections is playful and beautiful, but I like the Alise Collection the best. It reminds me about the nature and fairytales.

Happy New Year my dear & good luck to your sister! All of the collections are beautiful but I think that Lilli has to be my favourite. The pieces remind me of intricate stained glass windows - like the rose windows of the notre dame cathedral in paris. Exquisite!

And lovely collections. I like most Susane!
I have seen something similar here, quite similar silver crocheting technics, cannot say who was the artist...
Anyway, good luck!!!

Beautiful jewelry. I love Susane = probably because I knit a bit and can't imagine knitting in metal.

Good luck to your sister! I bought a bracelet from the Alise collection at the market in Tromsø in November. So I guess Alise is my favourite, but they are all beautiful.

Wow, really lovely designs. Your sister has great talent and it is super to hear about someone doing what they truly love and making a business out of it. I will send a link to my husband as a hint of what I would love to get as a birthday present. It has to be an Alise bracelet. Lovely, simple but complicated. Just like me?

How could I possibly pick? Can it be a tie between Alie and Nina? That will have to do. :)

I will go for Lilli:)

Oooh, this is difficult. I would be tempted to vote for my namesake but I think the crown will have to go to Alise, with Nina the runner-up....

Congratulations to your sister! Her jewellery collection is very unique and creative, especially the way she crochets the silver. Although all of her collections are brilliant, my favorite is Nina.
