So That's Why I Live Here

I came home late last night, at 0130 am to be exact. Had been to a party with the fantastic women I've met through maternity leave. We so needed this, drinking cava and laughing all night.

I took the...ahem, bicycle home. I drove a bit swingy along the pond, must admit. I tried to capture myself on the bike, but the idea seemed more brilliant than the result.

What does it matter, it was summer, daylight, and the midnight sun in the Arctic.

It was a night to remember why I live here.

Have a great week!

It looks amazing! I always get excited when it's light until about 1015pm - but all night! I think I would succumb to the "never sleeping" sickness pretty quickly! I would want to be out doing stuff!

It looks lovely but I struggle with the idea that it was nighttime! I think I would have to try it myself, mothers group friendships are so special!

Good idea not to take oneself photos riding a bike after a cava night!
So beautiful night!
Impressed!

Such amazing scenery! I forgot that it's 24 hour sun up there this time of year. I did some vacation riding up in Alaska last year, but it was a little past the solstice and not quite as far north, so I didn't quite get the full effect. Maybe I'll try to plan for next year.

This made me laugh! Wish I could pop up north for some fun and cava with you! Love that image of you on your bike weaving along the path home taking snapshots! :-)

What fun! I would be up all night also because it looks so beautiful up there. I think the North would capture me...it seems such a captivating place to live.
happy Summer!

This made me laugh, because I remembered that your advice for surviving the wintertime of no light was to be like a 90-year-old and go to bed at the same time every night! :-)
