First Snow of The Season. And a Gnome.

Thanks for all your comments in my last post, this is an interesting topic! For my part it's also a mood thing, like many of you who commented too: Sometimes you feel like flipping through a glamorous magazine, sometimes you want to go deeper and maybe even learn something.

And when you feel not on your greatest and your house is a mess, avoid blogs that reinforce it.

Or simply have a glass of wine and light a candle to hide the dirt.

I hope you usually (I'm not asking for always!) feel inspired, maybe learn a thing or two (about geography for instance) and happy for coming here.

Today you may even feel a tiny bit of relief that you don't live in the Arctic:

Cause we have snow now.

I bet you're not ready for it, and I tell you I'm not either.

But this little gnome arrived with winter, through the mysterious ways of the internet. He sits by the tree and sleeps all day. I've decided that he's not at all creepy.

He is kind.

He'll make sure we have a mild winter.

Happy week!

I know how you feel about the pristine homes on some blogs. It's not reality, I figure or perhaps they don't have children..or the children are terribly restricted.
The reason your blog is so great is that you and your family are so down to earth...like a friend next door...so it's like sitting down with a cuppa and having a chat.
Also, geographically, it's fascinating! Your climate is interesting and mysterious and we get to view what it's like to live there.
On another note...The children look happy to see snow again. it must be great when it's snowing, but not too too cold to play outdoors, like in February or such. gnome seems pleased as well.
Ta for now

Crazy to see this when it's do hot down here in Florida, USA! Though I do want to make a pilgrimage to experience some snow some winter to come, it's been so long...

I've been wanting to write about the post you covered yesterday, too. I like to look at these posts, but I don't get sucked into the illusion of perfection. I'm glad it looks like more blog followers and fellow bloggers are wising up to it.

I have had fun catching up with you! Snow already!? Wow! I really enjoyed your last post & all the comments as well. I often worry about not shareing the bad times ,only the good. It may give the impression that life is perfect but we all know that it never really is. Great post it seems like you touched on something that we all have thought about. It's good to get it out in the open!

Mali, firstly thanks for your very kind comment on my blog. And secondly - snow! Golly! Mind you, it's forecast for Aberdeen at the end of this week so we may have a dusting as well.

Your gnome looks very benevolent.
