Second snow - this time for keeps

First of all, welcome to all readers who found me through Sarah Londons great blog, and The Selvage Blog Hope you'll stay around.

Second snowfall is here, this time I hope it's for keeps. December is just not the same without it.

Went out to catch some light and play. It was cold for tiny feet.

I wonder if the guy I saw the other day bicycling and smoking a cigarette now has put on spikes...

I'm so excited over the woolen scarf a dear colleague gave me recently, she knows what a scarfoholic I am. I's a proper Babushka shawl from the Soviet Union. I love the colours, and Arctic mum trend cast sees a big wave of Soviet nostalgia in the years ahead, making these shawls even more popular.

The shawl matches in a strange way one of my favourite bags. It must be from the 70s, cause it reminds me of my childhood.

My next knitting project: a gorgeous looking vest from Pickles.

I feel that I really need this vest, but this colour is a bit...interesting, shall we say. Guess that's what shopping online is all about.

Have a great week! I will try to hang up the Christmas calendar. Anyone else who's slightly panicking over Christmas to doos?

Happy Winter!! I sometimes wish we had snow here more often to make us feel wintery......but usually we just get rain!

I hope the children continue to enjoy their outdoor play!

I also found your site via Sarah's blog and what a wonderful welcome.
Love the scarf, the colours are beautiful. And as for the yarn, that is a colour I am craving at the moment - but I am in full-on summer mode

Aloha from sunny Hawaii! I can't even imagine saying goodbye to the sun for 2 months, but you seem to have a good handle on it! It got down to the 60s last nite here & I was glad I had a quilt to keep me warm!

I have featured your blog on my blog today: www.selvageblog.blogspot.com.

I love the color of your new yarn. It reminds me of the color of the ocean in the Carribbean. I hope you'll show us the finished vest.

Your blog is a real treat! Keep up the good work.

Here I am a new convert also. One of my dreams is to see the northern lights, so interestingly enough here I am and I plan on staying to see what you come up with!

Hi there, and greetings from someone down-under. I live in New Zealand and Monday was officially the first day of Summer. But... it's been raining all week.
What beautiful photos of your area, and the Northern Lights are stunning. Sometimes one can see the Southern Lights from the bottom of the South Island of New Zealand, something we haven't yet experienced.

Wow, am stunned by all the comments from you - it´s so great! The follow button is now on the side. Will blog more in the weekend when I have the chance to catch some daylight, and can report from the blue hour.

So glad to be directed to your blog from the cold north! I will be visiting often to see your beautiful photos and read about your life in that area of the world. Here in the southern US, we got our first light snowfall this morning but no freeze yet. Still have green grass and flowers!

Oh my, you do have an interesting blog. And where you live is so different from me. I think it's freezing when it is 60 degrees. Thanks for the nice welcome. I found you through selvageblog and I'll be back again. Stay warm!

What a lovely blog you have. I find it so interesting to read about people from around the world, and your world is greatly different from mine in Tucson, Arizona at the far tip of the US southwest.

I really like the color of the yarn for your new vest. I look forward to reading more about you. I do not have a blog myself but may have to start one. Karen

Coming from Selvage Blog, I'm stepping in your artic and strange world. Here in Cologne/Germany, snow is mostly rare, sometimes maybe in january or february but never in december - what a pity because of Christmas!
