It's the tourist season in the Arctic, and boy are they lucky cause this week the weather is amazing.
They may think the natives are crazy photographing them whilst hiking in the steep hill below them. We just smile and wave.
What do they think of us, for living this far north completely voluntarily?
To be honest I often ask myself the same question.
But not when there's days like these. Then I'm just proud.

amazing pictures. yes. the arctic. i can hardly imagine. voluntary? i should read more on your blog to find out about your decision to live there. but truely amazing views!
I often ask myself the same question, but then there are the good days, and you forget about the other 333 days of the year :)
Just a little bit crazy, but I think I can say this because I lived in Alaska and it takes a special breed of person to live in those conditions. No longer me. I need sun. My husband always jokes with me when I complain of the cold.
I understand your pride. And you can be proud even when the weather is not so nice, because it must be a challenge to live there, and not a lot of people are able to do that. I'm just wondering: what's the name of the city that we can see in the background?..
Wow!!!!
I know the feeling - right now I am happy too, but soon the light disappears...
Thanks for the knitting club invitation - I will be very happy to join when/if I move back! (and this reminded me to get our club started again here)
Malyss-the name of the city os Tromso, and that's very I live. On almost 70 degree North, but thanks to the warm Gulf Stream it'liveable!
I don't know how you do it, I can't cope with the cold anymore. I've been in France for too long. It's somewhere that I'd like to visit though!
That is a beautiful day!! Gorgeous photographs. I would be proud, too. I'm glad you are letting us know what it is like to live there. That's what I love about this blog world - meeting people in far away places.
So beautiful! I love that image from the tram. Lovely.
