The Norse American Line

I'll leave you with these images from out and about lately. Can't believe I'm going to America. When I was eight my father went over and came home with totally different pink bubble gum. I will now do the same.

Do you still have it?

Arctic Dad will be in charge of Department for longstockings and snot for a week. I will try not to remote control.

See you!

I am sure you'll have a great time! All sorts of bubble gum - but I am sure you'll find a lot more there now that you can't get at home.

I remember once being in the States years ago and an American, who thought I was Irish, said that she had been to Ireland the year before and that she was surprised that they had striped toothpaste......do they still think we are so behind the times?

Big surprise for me was going to Europe this year and finding Pepperidge Farm cookies and other American brands in Paris. I'm looking forward to your impressions of America! It's beautiful in most parts of the US right now...fall colors! --Linda in USA

Oh, Boston, yeah, that should be beautiful this time of year!

These are gorgeous photos. And you will love Boston. I visit once a year or so because my sisters live there. If you are coming soon, the fall is so beautiful in New England. I recommend visits to Beacon Hill and to Cambridge (particularly Harvard Yard and Harvard Square and the Fogg Art Museum). The Freedom Trail is good, too.
