First Coffe in the New House

Our house

This is our house that we now own (in happy companionship with La Banque). It has a garden hose, a garage and a snowblower.

First coffee in our house

Nothing like the first coffee and chocolate in the kitchen!

Our house

We plan to renovate a little or a lot. Money talks.

Our house

Retro tiles and cool spice rack. Must keep that last one.

I confide to you that I've had moments of House Commitment Anxiety:

Now I'll never have a flat in Paris, where I listen to garbage trucks in the morning, accompagnied by acccordion. Nor live in Italian decadence with free range children and chickens.

This mean we're stuck in the snow forever. But that's ok. I have serious plans of vacation house swapping.

I'm off to Svalbard for a few days. It'll be cold. It'll be brutal. I might meet a polar bear, who knows.

I'll take a shameless amount of pictures to show you next weekend!

I'm happy for you to have such a big window in the kitchen!
Our daughter said, she would play "catch me if you can " running through that white door to the big white livingroom....
Enjoy your new home!

It looks lovely! Even at this time of year it looks really bright inside! I need bright! I have come to the conclusion that I hate low energy light bulbs and their poor light. Anyway - enough of me! I hope that you are all very happy in your new house and if you ever want to swap for a 2-bedroom flat, 3 floors up (not very appealing I know) but with a fantastic view, on the east coast of Scotland, just let me know!

I love to arrive in a new house, and to have to make a home from it. As far as i see, this house has a lot of great things to offer. You'll be happy there, I'm sure of it; Such a bright house can't be a bad place!

That looks like it's going to be a wonderful house. I look forward to seeing what you do with it. I think House Commitment anxiety is very common. A friend once had a nightmare, the night after he signed a contract to buy a house, that he had to heat the whole thing with just a hairdryer! But it doesn't actually mean you won't do other things or be in other places. Enjoy your new house!

Congratulations!! It will be fantastic for you. I'd say it's a very good thing it came with a snowblower!! Even I think that is a lot of snow.
