On Names: Anna

Petra, Laura, Nora, Malou, Björk, Erle, Lovise, Moa and Vilma were some of the names we tried. But they weren't right.

Anna is.

I looked at her on Friday, and suddenly I realised that's her name. Maybe because my grandmother's name is Anna, and that she has her nose (!). Or simply because it's a beautiful and strong name.

Anna has a cold already, at five weeks. But what can you do when the four year old makes her suck on her nose...

My six year old loves starting school. She's so grown up all of a sudden.

The leaves in the garden are going yellow. I feel they just became green.

I hope you'll have a good weekend, I plan to do som flea marketing!

I love the name Anna. It's simple, serene and beautiful. So neat to see people's children all excited for school. My son just graduated from high school and I'm feeling empty nesty already!

I believe children come with their names already...I was convinced to call my daughter Minna, until 3 days before she was born, but then popped I was in a shop (Liberty of London actually!) and someone called Anita, for some reason I liked it so much and when she was born I looked at her and thought : she's definitely Anita!
You little one has great name!
Congrats...

A lovely name, and (as one who has been 'English' since the age of 2, but has a Norwegian name) an internationally recognisable name ... Perfect!

Anna is perfect! It's classic and what is mice is that not everyone is going to have her name since it is not one of the popular names right now. Addy had her first cold this week too. I am still trying to catch up on sleep. I canceled all my appointments today and took a 2 hour nap. It felt so good. How did the first day of school go?

That is a beautiful name - and a palindrome! (= the same backwards and forwards) Bless her, and all of you. I look forward to hearing about your schoolgirl's adventures!
