Fighting Polar Night With Summer

What do we do every year when the dark embraces us, when we're tired in the morning, tired in the evening. When Polar Night has fastened it's grip, only providing a small opening of daylight every day.

This is what we do when living here feels heavy. And pale is an understatement (Christmas portraits - we just don't do them):

 - Planning next summer's vacation!

We're heading for ta-ta- Belgium in July! Never been there, exciting to go!

Am looking very forward to find myself in central Europe again, as I'm sure this is where my ancestors hang out before they started moving up here, crazy people. I like central Europe, I feel connected to it.

I certainly deserve a trip to central Europe in July.

But before we have Christmas. As you can see my town (and boats) are ready.

How are you all doing with the prep's?

P.s My giveaway. And have you seen Hana's shop.

Have a good week!

Still don't have the Christmas card finished, but we are just about to light the candles for 3nd Advent. We are close! I am surprised you don't look for somewhere hoter, but then hot might not be enjoyable for someone who is used to freezing cold.

You will love Belgium, I'm sure. I visited Antwerp and Brussels for the first time last year and can't wait to go back.

The decorated ferry is great - so much fun to see such a sturdy, workhorse boat with its string of fairy lights.

I think planning for fun times ahead is so important! The best thing about winter, for a gardener, is looking at the seed catalogues and dreaming about the spring and summer to come. I'm sure you'll have a great time in Belgium.
