Confessions from a Sun deprived

I try to keep morale high. I force myself to pretend like nothing. I desperately try to appreciate the blue light and the wonderful air. I try to comfort myself with ideas of candles, film festival, cultural events and knitting.

But I can't keep it much longer. I'm getting very impatient.

I want the sun. And I want it now.

It's there, behind the horizon. Like a promised land, tempting me with the light.

Still another 15 days to go.

In the meantime we have the moon.

Wow. I'm not sure I could take it. On the other hand though - it must be amazing in the summer.

Me too, I need the sun to help me face the day. Does anyone use supplemental sun lamps from time to time to fight back the doldrums?

Love your pictures, is that what is looks like in the daytime? I would be in a real funk need my sun also. We have this icky gray polluted fog hanging around here at least it looks like your air is breathable.

I can imagine it must be hard.......at least we have light between 830 and 330 - and with all this snow around most days it has been bright and cold as opposed to the usual winter weather of 8 degrees, grey grey skies and rain!

Wishing you a speedy 15 days!

Love following your blog! Just wondering if you take Vitamin D? A recent Dr. told me most Americans are vitamin D deficient and I would imagine you certainly are!! She suggested and we take 5,000 i.u. a day. It helps even here in the south!!

Thank you for all comments- they warm my heart and makes the waiting for the sun much easier! And I have to think of Siena even further north-where the sun comes back in February! 14 more days are nothing...

....And yes, the day lamps are in use! Most workplaces have them, but one must use them regularly for an effect. Myself am a bit too lazy. I notice that I´m tired, and just move on with whatever I´m doing.

While I would love to experience one snowy, cold Christmas, I definitely know I could not survive without the sun. Thank goodness its not far away for you

I know I'd feel exactly the same. Our sun has been behind the clouds for a week now, and I'm feeling sun deprived.
