Corner View: Front door

Abandoned houses have their own aesthetics: You can't say this front door isn't beautiful.

The house is on an island we visited in September last year. People here dislodge and move to the city, and I guess that's a worldwide problem. In an ideal world the lights shine from all houses along the fjords and valleys, cause houses need people. And people need houses.

OK, so I actually have a thing about abandoned houses. I love them. I mean, really, really love them. Thank you for this post. A beautiful, ethereal shot, too.

There are many such doors in our village. Abandoned houses that need people. But life in the country isn't easy, especially where even the most basic services are either not reliable or non existent. And yet, as you say, people need houses. Nice post.
