Watching Snow Melt

In this quiet corner of the world we watch snow melt. The feeling is probably similar to watching oil paint dry.

It takes a while.

But look - you can see there has been some progress in the garden...

Me and the big girls searched for spring in Denmark last week. We found one snow free country and lots of vintage treasures, much headed for the shop. Pretty table cloths, great vintage fabric.

But this gorgeous Soholm lamp stays, together with four Bjorn Wiinblad calendar plates. The plates show a couple from they meet in January until they have a baby in December. It's a celebration of love, and I got one for each family member and our months. But I'm still missing May for my eldest daughter.

It's light to ten pm now. I just love, love the time we're about to enter. Light all day, light all night. My body and mind is on top these months ahead of us. It's almost like I can catch all the light with my hands.

Have a good week, friends.

Darling photos, especially that second one! So cute! It does look like there is less snow than in photos last week! I love all of your lovely finds too. What fun!

I know exactly what you mean. I feel like I'm waking up. So much more seems possible when the sky is light so many hours each day.

Wow, you still have a lot of snow... We lost ours in the last week, it went very quickly in the end. Finally, I was definitely ready for spring!! Hope the spring arrives up to north soon too! :)

Mali I was just thinking of you today and wondering if your snow had melted yet - obviously not! I love the light summer nights too, and I know just what you mean about how you imagine you could catch the light in your hands. A great image.
